In our overview, we explain that TL 9000 is designed to meet the quality requirements of the global communications industry. Built on ISO 9001 and the eight quality principles, TL 9000 employs 92 telecom-specific adders and is designed specifically for the communications industry. TL 9000 is a quality system with significant management and measurement components. This standard is now required by many of the large service providers to become a part of their supply chains. Unlike ISO 9001, TL 9000 requires monthly data submission to the QuEST Forum measurements repository (MRS). This standard applies to the entire communications industry including wireline, wireless, cable, ILEC, CLEC and VoIP. QuEST Forum maintains and governs the TL 9000 standard.

Requirements and Measurements Handbooks
There are always revisions to quality standards and we can help you upgrade to the latest version.
The TL 9000 standard is contained in two handbooks, Requirements and Measurements. Release 5.0 is the latest version of the Requirements Handbook. Release 4.5 is the latest version of the Measurements Handbook. It became effective in January 2011 and must be implemented by July 2011.
