Built on ISO 9001 and the eight quality principles, TL 9000 employs 92 telecom-specific adders and is designed specifically for the communications industry. TL 9000 is a quality system with significant management and measurement components. This standard is now required by many of the large service providers to become a part of their supply chains. Unlike ISO 9001, TL 9000 requires monthly data submission to the QuEST Forum measurements repository (MRS). This standard applies to the entire communications industry including wireline, wireless, cable, ILEC, CLEC and VoIP. QuEST Forum maintains and governs the TL 9000 standard.
Today, customers demand quality and expect suppliers to proactively comply with the highest product and service standards. TL 9000 eliminates the need for multiple quality management standards, which reduces the cost of doing business and ultimately results in better products and services for consumers.

Requirements and Measurements Handbooks
There are always revisions to quality standards and we can help you upgrade to the latest version.
The TL 9000 standard is contained in two handbooks, Requirements and Measurements. Release 5.5 is the latest version of the Requirements Handbook. Release 5.0 is the latest version of the Measurements Handbook. The handbooks change periodically and the best way to determine the latest release is to go to the TL 9000 website, www.tl9000.org.
